THE UNIVERSE

The World of Ulukayın.

Beneath the game lies a real cosmology. Turkic mythology — the World Tree as the axis of creation, Umay the protector, Erlik the lord of the underworld, Kayra Khan the supreme sky — has been told for thousands of years and almost never in games. We research it from heritage sources and treat it the way the best studios treat Norse or Greek myth: with reverence, not as flavor text.

A cultural mission

Ulukayın is our first attempt to carry this cosmos to a global audience — playable, painted, respectful. Story panels draw on the mythological record; deities keep their names and natures; the cosmology of seventeen ascending layers structures the entire game. If you are a researcher, educator or cultural institution interested in this world, our door is open.
